Directors' Station Back In Action

Directors Station is now back up and running after the 3.1 Upgrade. Unfortunately, if you’ve created any swift link saved report templates in Directors Station before the 3.1 upgrade these will now be inaccurate and will need to be deleted and recreated. Thank you!

3.1 Upgrade Reports

The last of your 1st & 2nd Overdue reports just finished running and you can get them from the reports login. All the other reports have been reinstated and will run at their normal times. It likes like we’re all done, except for Directors Station. So, happy Unicorning.

Up & Running on Unicorn 3.1

We are up on Unicorn 3.1. So just a reminder of Jill’s email, login using the new client GL3.1J, you should see it in the New Workflows folder on your desktop. Once you’re logged in you can remove the icon for the old 3.0 client. If a pop up appears telling you to update the client say no and then send either me or Jill an email letting us know. So far all the ones I’ve tested haven’t asked for an update so we should be good. A big thanks to Ben you kicked off the upgrade and babysat it while our server leisurely strolled through it. Also, Director’s Station will be down for a little as it too needs an upgrade, so please do not try to use it. I will let you all know when it is up and running.

3.1 Upgrade Sun March 11

This is a reminder that Workflows and iBistro will be down on Sunday, March 11 for the 3.1 client upgrade.

On Monday, March 12 all libraries may begin using the Workflows 3.1J client at your normal opening hour.

** The new client should be in a file posted to your staff computer desktops labeled “New Workflows”.

** When logging in, please make sure the login window IP address is: ILSAPP.lib.de.us and the port is 5100.

** You will receive the message “Update Staff Client?” Please answer NO

** Once you are successfully logged in and working in the new workflows 3.1 client you may delete the old workflows 3.0 client from your computer.

Some items to be aware of:

**If the “fine-free discharge” wizard does not automatically appear under the common tasks dropdown, click Preferences – desktop-current toolbar – local toolbar management - right click “Circulation” (located under delivery files in the left hand column)-click “copy to local” – You will get the prompt, “Local toolbar already exists, would you like to replace this file?” click yes, close – the fine-free discharge Wizard should be visible now.

**In order to activate the family return feature, there is an accumulate fines selector under the discharging wizard properties (which can only be accessed with a director login). Select “prompt” for accumulating fines.

There shouldn’t be a need to reconfigure receipt printers or other properties that were set up in the 3.0 client.
